BISH BASH BOSH teeters on the edge of painting and collage, questioning the form and function of a painting, and was created during a period of re-examining my painting practice.  Using an amalgamation of different components, materials, and painting by-products. it is unsure yet bold, with tentative decisions, fragile materials, a paint palette that doesn’t belong, set against bold sweeping gestures and punchy additions. It feels broken and mended, containing as many mistakes as right moves.

Living in a world of information overload, I need to find spaces where I can drift, to find the stories and narratives that have meaning to me. The painting itself is never the end, but the story of the process of finding it, through the play, exploration, and inquiry of materials and self. In this case, it was BISH BASH BOSH that felt as if it had formed itself, announcing itself as arrived. BISH BASH BOSH.
