This work is from my Imagined Landscapes series of acrylic and mixed-media paintings. It is inspired by my walks and travels through the hills, mountains, and valleys of the UK. I focus on the physical qualities of paint and materials to build layered surfaces that reflect my experiences of the rich geography of these landscapes. Each layer is created through a process of applying and removing materials, using both painting and drawing techniques, to capture my memories of being in these evocative environments.
