Doom Scrolling #14 (The Apprentice House)

Flamm x Auction House Stand: 104

Graham Taylor’s work is based in performance and writing, and manifests variously in writing, performance, sound/music, clothing/accessories, painting, images and video. He works with a number of Creative Entities that function as a kind of hybrid between brand names and pseudonyms. These were initiated as a means to question the role the artist as author of the work and how that affects how it is read and engaged with, and have become ways of maintaining distinct and different bodies of work simultaneously, to engage a broad span of inquiries. Painting has become a larger part of his practice in recent years, in collaboration with the entities Anna Static and ATTEMPTATION, particularly the objecthood of the painting and how it exists, the way it functions in terms of social and cultural capital, and how it is an artefact/document immediately recognisable as art.
