TINA DEMPSEY- Dempsey’s practice is grounded in an immersive exploration of natural environments, particularly coastal landscapes. Spending extended periods in these places, she absorbs their essence through slow observation and sensory engagement. Each location becomes a collaborator, informing her process through collected field notes — photographs, prints, colour
charts, and sound lists — that anchor memory and emotion.

Alongside this research, intuitive rituals such as walking barefoot, touching stone, and moments of stillness deepen her connection
to the land.

A recent period of personal transformation has heightened Dempsey’s sensitivity to the unseen energies of place — its rhythm, vibration, and emotional resonance. This shift has brought
painting to the centre of her practice. In the studio, fluid gestures, layered colour, and texture become acts of translation, transforming sensory experience into abstraction. Her work reveals an instinctive dialogue between movement, material, and the living pulse of nature.

Dempsey has artwork in accredited UK Museum collections and an upcoming exhibition of paintings with Art Gallery Finestreria, Milan, Italy.
