The Landlord, a mythical creature who resides in a far-away land (London), steals your money and lets your house decay. The Landlord is buckling under the weight of his enormous ego and fat bank account. He is followed by the pests who have received the Landlord Special, punished for the crime of occupying his property.

Iona Ford’s work explores folk history, oral storytelling, and her experience of being raised in rural Britain. In her contemporary practice, Ford works with absurdity and humour, critiquing the housing crisis in Britain through sculpture and performance.
