Multicell Horns

Paradise Works Stand: 212

A set of three speaker horns consist of one set of ceramic multicell horns (x4 horns) and two individual painted red horns, installed above head height just peeking over the threshold of the booth to form a vertical tower, where they will each face in different directions from each other. This set-up bears a symbolic manner as functioning objects, they are instilled with the gesture of sound broadcasting as well as acting as a kind of surveillance, ‘covering all ground’ within the vicinity of Paradise Works’ booth space, resembling a set of public address system that is supported by the given height and directions that the horns will be facing. There are elements within the structure that will allow viewer to interact directly with the horns to amplify and project sound from within the booth.
