HOLLY KILNER- (Lives and works Blackpool). North West based disabled artist whose work celebrates resilience, awareness, and reclamation. Through painting, she explores the emotional landscape of living with chronic illness and disability, transforming personal experience into visual storytelling. Her practice is both deeply personal and universally human — a reminder to live fully and find creativity, even in pain. Honouring her own journey by incorporating awareness ribbon colours that reflect health conditions, weaving them into each artwork as symbols of reflection and acceptance. I paint organ-like forms on repurposed NHS envelopes, turning anxiety-inducing medical correspondence into deeply personal self-portraits. These works blur the line between vulnerability and empowerment, body and mind, transforming fragments of lived experience into visual affirmations of healing. Through art, Kilner invites others to find meaning in the marks that make us human and the quiet resilience that exists within us all.
