The Manchester Contemporary

The Manchester Contemporary is an unrivalled incubator of artistic talent.

All art fair visitors are encouraged to take the time to visit The Manchester Contemporary which sits alongside Manchester Art Fair . Free entry is included in all tickets. Using bold curatorial judgement, it offers works for sale from the most exciting, critically engaged, contemporary artists and galleries. The Manchester Contemporary provides a platform for emerging artistic talent.

The 2018 Manchester Contemporary is curated by Nathaniel Pitt, the founder of respected gallery Division of Labour. He will oversee the gallery roster as well as advising on the Collector Development Program and strategic cultural partnerships, further strengthening the fair’s relationships with collectors, galleries, and institutions in the UK and worldwide.

Own Art

Own Art

Use Own Art to buy any eligible art at the fair, priced between £100 and £25,000. You simply pay back the price of the artwork in 10 monthly instalments, totally interest free.

Take a guided tour of The Manchester Contemporary with a Manchester Art Gallery curator. The Manchester Contemporary  encourages and de-mystifies engagement with contemporary art, creating a fresh and engaging journey of discovery.
